Abstract:
When we understand all of the physical laws of the universe will we be able to create a computer simulation that is indistinguishable from reality? Digital computers have limitations. Do those limitations preclude a perfect simulation or do they explain:

 Why is it impossible to go faster than the speed of light?

 Why does light/matter behave like a wave at times, and like a particle at other times?

 Why are there three spatial dimensions?

What if the universe is a computer simulation? And if it is, what is outside of it?
