Abstract:
Love, defiance, faith, and premonitions, she was a woman determined to follow her dreams no matter what the obstacles. Opposing her mother and ignoring her Catholic faith, Cattie elopes just before the onset of the Second World War. The premonitions that plagued her since birth fail to materialize a time or two resulting in her determination to ignore their presence. A dream that tells her to prepare for a death is actually a prediction of her future. Catherine, devout in her faith and devastated by the loss of her mother, must learn to cope with the grief and new responsibilities in a future of uncertainty.
