The story of Petey’s Angel was inspired by a little angel figurine I found in a gift shop in Alexandria Bay, NY. I purchased it for my sister-in-law who had just lost her dog. Little did I know that a short time later I would be facing the untimely death of our own precious dog. The auto-immune-hemolytic anemia that took her life, took it quickly and unexpectedly and left a hole in our hearts for a long time. Thank you to “mytreasures.com”…where I again found the figurine, this time for myself, and for directing me to the Pavilion Gift Company where I learned the story behind the inspirational figurines that are called Sarah’s Angels. According to Pavillion, “Sarah’s Angels are in memory of Ms. Sarah Lee, whose angelic personality has affected many lives. Sarah was diagnosed with liver cancer in June 1996 and given 6-12 months to live. Sarah, in one of her prayer times during her sickness, saw ministering angels and felt God’s presence and amazing love in her room. At the age of 40, God granted Sarah's prayers and took her home, with His angels, on January 12, 2000. Angels are spiritual messengers bringing God's love and protection in many ways. God gives His angels charge over us as guardian angels. In Sarah's memory, Pavilion Gift Company is committed to helping find a cure for many types of cancer. We (Pavilion) hope this inspires everyone the way it inspires us.” Pavilion Gift Co. is the exclusive US distributor of Sarah’s Angels.
