So, you think you want to be a mom. The first thing you should consider is; does your boyfriend want to be a dad? Are you old enough to get married in your state? Have you discussed children? Do you feel like this is the only thing that will keep you together? Is he pressuring you for sex? Have you talked about STDs? Have you talked about what will happen if you do get pregnant? Are either of you working? Are you finished with school?

Still think you want to be a mom? Well, let me tell you all the things you wont read in a baby book. Starting with you will now be taking on a full-time 24/7 job. Did you realize that this job is for life? It doesnt stop just because you get bored. It continues until you die. How old are you? If you are sixteen, you are looking at approximately sixty years on this job and there is NO retirement plan, there is NO income to rely on. Your rewards will come only with the success of your child. If your child fails, of course, you will be blamed. Children dont come with manuals. Are you really ready for someone who is totally dependent on you?
