Abstract:
Psychosis of the Heart: Crazy Poetry is a collection of poems that take you through the emotional stages of Sonya Gaines as she navigates through the complexities of human relationships.
Themes include: lust, anger, finding one’s identity, resentment, sadness, feelings of belonging, death, and true love. A lot of them were written during times of intense psychological struggle.
Facing present circumstances, then adding the ghosts of past trauma, Crazy Poetry was a way of survival for her. She now presents them to you in the hopes that you may relate to, understand, and somewhere along the way enjoy them.
