Standing on top of a mesa the wind hits my face and cools the penetrating sun. Today as usual I forget to put on the sunscreen, but that is not unusual for me since I have spent many a day not wearing sunscreen. From the tropics to the desert southwest it is rarely something I do, but now my doctor in Santa Fe says I need to start wearing it every time I am in the sun. Also he tells me I have “old eyes” with age and need to start wearing sunglasses regularly. Next to go will be my ears, I’m sure.
