Discerning Your Heart


Words contain patterns of being which manifests images within consciousness. According to the principle of cause and effect, the word of God, the Source of being, as a seed establishes the potential of being and life within the spirit of man. The law based upon a principle describes how that principle manifests in the material realm. Man's being and life is established within the Source of his being and life according to the law of cause and effect. Because each human is a person, this Source must be personal. In Him we live and move and have our being.

Like a tree, man has a tap root that extends into his ground of being. As the sap of a tree supports the life of a tree, the spirit of life activates that potential of the spirit man as it flows through the soul which manifests it in the life of the individual. As the control center of man's consciousness, the heart acts as a gateway for the flow of the spirit of life with awareness between the spirit man and the soul. The infinite contact with the Source of being (God) is sustained by the flow of the spirit of life according to the orientation of the heart of the person.

Awareness flowing from the Source within the realm of spirit through the consciousness of the individual is the basis of all communication that occurs within entities or aspects of consciousness. Discernment is the illumination of consciousness through awareness of the spiritual reality whereby an individual becomes aware of the deeper aspects of being which is the basis upon which material realm manifests. Perception is the process of recognizing reality which occurs through the perspective from which the individual views it.

The perspective from which the individual views reality is determined by the orientation of his heart. This orientation includes the frame of reference, attitudes, and treasures which the individual has built within his heart by the choices he has made over a period of time. There are two basic factors which determines the orientation of a person's heart. The first is his relationship with God, the Source of his being and life. The second is the self image held in his heart. If the relationship with his Source is right and his self image is a reflection of the person of his spirit man, the potential within his spirit will flow through his soul to manifest in his life.

However, there are hindrances within the consciousness of each one of us to this flow of the spirit of life and awareness due to choices we have made. The pride of self is the primary cause of the corruption of the self image of the heart and thereby other areas of his consciousness. Offenses held in a person's heart block the flow of the spirit of life and awareness within the consciousness of a man. Vows made because of offense remain in the subconscious as mandates to be fulfilled even after they have been consciously forgotten. These and other hindrances to the flow of the spirit of life can be cancelled as one become aware of them in the process of discerning his heart.

The polarization of the believer's consciousness through the orientation of his heart toward God, his Source, is the key to living in the life of the spirit and fulfilling his destiny. This polarization with a hunger for life establishes the alignment of the consciousness of the individual which induces the flow of the spirit of life from his sprit through the soul to fulfill the potential of that person. A hunger for the life of the word of God establishes an attraction within his heart for the spirit of life and the love of God stabilizes the flow. This orientation of heart fixed within a Source (God) centered frame of reference establishes the perspective from which the person perceives reality.
