It was graduation weekend at Jon Napa’s alma mater. As far as he knew, no one on campus knows him as SSA Agent Jon X. He decided to visit the campus and see if he would run into any old acquaintances. He went to the Student Center and got a cup of coffee. He sat at the corner table where he and his college girlfriend often met. The students look young. His eyes followed the young coeds as they walked by. They are really stacked and hot. “Today’s coeds are tomorrow’s America’s women! They are beautiful, lovely, alluring, and desirable.” He murmured as he sipped on his coffee.
He observed a group of young men and women talking and laughing, “Those kids act as if they have no problems and no worries whatsoever.” Jon thought. “I wonder if they could last one day in my world.”
Jon was feeling a little frisky. His enthusiastic rah-rah college spirit directed him to the Athletic Department to inquire about football tickets for the upcoming season. He was greeted nicely by one of the administrative ladies. Jon explained to her that he would be overseas the biggest part of the year. “Just in case I’m in town, I’d like to have a ticket to see at least one football game.”
The lady chuckled as she tried to respond. “Are you an alumnus of this university?”
“I sure am.” Jon answered believing that would give him an edge over non-alumni.
The lady continued, “There’s a lot of demand for football tickets. Individual tickets like you want are not readily available. You’ll have better luck buying gold from Fort Knox. Season ticket holders have to know someone on the inside of the Athletic Department, or contribute thousands of dollars to get their tickets. You’ll have better luck getting individual tickets on the street on game day. Or, if you know any season ticket holders, they may be kind enough to part with one of their tickets.”
“In other words you’re telling me that I cannot buy a ticket to attend a game?”
“No, I’m telling you that we cannot guarantee you a ticket today. You have to wait till game week to see if any individual tickets are available. Come back at that time and I’ll let you know if you can get a ticket.”
Jon could not believe what he was told. He tried to respond in a calm manner. “Thank you for explaining the supply and demand concept as it applies to football tickets.” As he walked away he continued, “I’ll keep it mind while I’m on this side of hell wherever on earth I am.”
Jon then walked towards the auditorium where graduation exercises were normally held. Many people were milling around. He walked into the building. For a few minutes he relived the moment when many years earlier he walked across the stage and received his diploma. Tears moistened his eyes when he recalled receiving his commission as second lieutenant in the United States Army. He was sad. He did not have any family attending that event. His adoptive parents had passed away a year earlier.
Jon returned to the Center. It was full of parents and students wearing graduation robes. A few familiar faces walked by. They gave Jon a second look and waved “Hi”. Jon felt very out of place.
He got another cup of coffee. A familiar voice said, “Hello Jon Napa, do you remember me?”
Jon looked up. He immediately recognized his English Literature professor. He’d always had the hots for her. “Mrs. Jessica Janyson, it’s nice to see you.”
“It is nice to see you too. I followed a good part of your career since you graduated from the university. I’m very glad to see you here. You were always my favorite person from among those in my classrooms. Are you waiting to meet someone?”
“No I’m not. I just felt like visiting the campus before going back to work.”
“I’m a little confused about the work you do. I know that you served in the army. After that you were in the Emirate working for AMICA. Then I saw a few international pictures that showed you or someone that looked like you, in other parts of the world involved in political ventures. Just exactly what type of work are you involved in?
“I work for the government. That’s all anyone needs to know. Now tell me about yourself.”
“What do you do for the government that you cannot talk about?”
“The main thing that I do is protect our way of life.”
“Okay, be secretive if you wish. I guess you’d be interested to know that Mr. Janyson and I parted ways about a year ago. We are now very divorced. I’m using my maiden name Holladey. My students address me as Dr. Holladey. You can call me Jessie.”
“I’m sorry that you and your husband divorced.”
“Don’t be. I’m now available to date who ever I desire. I’ve been celibate for a whole year. I have a suggestion for you. After a light lunch, let’s go to my pad and get to know each other a little better. Is that good for you?”
Jon was a little surprised by her forwardness. She was a very attractive forty year old woman. He remembered her winking at him when he was in her classroom. “That’ll be good,” he answered as he got up and held her hand.
Jessie smiled. She gripped his hand and started walking. “Tell me what you notice about a woman.”
“To me, women are the loveliest part of life. I love the sound of a woman’s voice. I love the female structure of a woman’s body. The first thing I notice in a woman is her facial beauty. Then I check the breast and waistline. Last but not least I check the buttocks.”
“Did you ever check mine?”
“Yes I have checked it many, many times.”
Jessie’s apartment was on the first floor of a new four-floor building within walking distance from the campus. As soon as they walked in, she stood toe to toe with him and gave him a peck on the lips.
Jon wrapped his arms around her. He could feel the slight tremble in her body. “Relax,” he told her. “Everything is going to be fine.” He then planted a kiss on her lips. She responded with a wet kiss of her own.
“I’m very ready.” She said. “Are you?”
