Humpty-Dumpty is an egg in the ancient children’s rhyme. This egg represents the world, the cosmic egg. Humpty-Dumpty was created perfect but came under the rule of an evil entity many people call Satan. The original name of Satan was Lucifer, the Light Bearer, or Enlightened One. God declared this “Light” darkness and destroyed Humpty-Dumpty. Lucifer has been trying to put his ancient kingdom back together again since before our modern world began. One of the walls from which he fell was the wall around the Garden of Eden. The next was the tower of Babel. Another was the Temple of Jerusalem and the next was the “wall” of Rome. Rome fell, and the fall was great. It cracked into hundreds of tiny city-states and all the king’s men could not form a cohesive union again. Many dictators have tried to accomplish what Rome did and have failed. Each conqueror in his turn accomplished much, but in the end, lost all he had amassed. One of the walls on which Humpty-Dumpty sat was the Tower of Babel. When the nations had their languages confused, there was no way to hold them together. Man has been reaching back to Babel ever since. The Bible states that in the end times a man will arise with such charisma and brilliance that he will piece Humpty-Dumpty back together again, however briefly. The United Nations is closer than modern man has ever come. This man of genius will no doubt head up the U.N. as well as any other confederations that may exist at that time.
It is possible to follow that trail of Humpty-Dumpty, i.e. the Antichrist, throughout all ages of earth history. We shall see and follow him, and watch how God makes omelets of it all.
Biblical Prophecy
The world relegates Biblical prophecy to the dusty archives of the distant past, completely fulfilled and completely understood as having no bearing on the present world. After all, has not Babylon long ago ceased to be a major power? Did not Rome fall centuries ago? Of what possible interest could the ancient trading center of Tyre have to any modern thinking person trying to cope with the complexities of contemporary life?
Actually, the Bible is more up-to-date than tomorrow’s newspaper. Thousands of prophecies have already been literally fulfilled. Many more could not have possibly been fulfilled until modern technology made them possible. Then there is the matter of the alignment of nations at the end of times. Israel was certainly mentioned in ancient Hebrew prophecies as being around at the time of then end. This book will endeavor to show how the Americas and specifically the United States figure into these ancient scripts. Obviously, the United States did not exist as a nation at the time Genesis was written. Genesis itself is the written record of Hebrew oral traditions handed down from generations before. It is believed that Moses finally committed these traditions to writing. The ancient Hebrews were great record keepers and kept detailed genealogies and histories of movements of tribes and families. This record gives us the key to finding the hidden Americas in Scripture.
All of human history is in reality, “His Story”. It is the account of the creation of man, his fall from perfection, the promise of a redeemer, the results of that fall worked out in the daily lives of men and women, the struggle to regain the lost perfection, and the ultimate consummation of the age. The Hebrew prophets gave us a precise and detailed picture of what the world would look like at the end of the age. It is this author’s opinion that we are there now. The world is lining up with the Bible with startling accuracy and detail. When studying prophecy it is necessary to understand what scholars call the “Law of double reference”. In essence, it means that prophecies have an immediate fulfillment and a later fulfillment. Misunderstanding of this law leads to the conclusion that all prophecy is fulfilled and therefore, irrelevant. For instance, Jeremiah wrote,
“Flee out of Babylon; leave the land of the Babylonians, and be like the goats that lead the flock. For I will stir up and bring against Babylon an alliance of the great nations from the land of the north. They will take up their positions against her and from the north she will be captured. Their arrows will be like skilled warriors who do not return empty-handed” (Jer. 50:8-9)
In 529 B.C., God used an alliance of Medea and Persia led by Darius to take the city of Babylon, today in modern Iraq. However, not one arrow was used. Indeed, no weapons were needed. The Babylonians were so drunk from a feast given by Belshazzar that they were incapable of walking let alone fighting. So it is clear that, although Babylon did fall by an alliance of nations from the north, it is also true that it must rise again and fall again, this time with arrows (missiles) that are like “skilled warriors” (computerized and laser guided). Who could have possibly known prior to January 15, 1991, that Iraq (same land as ancient Babylon) would rise up, come against her neighboring nation, and be bombed with missiles so precise that a certain door or elevator shaft could be targeted from a plane overhead, by an alliance of nations led by North America? Talk about “skilled arrows”! Keep in mind this law of double reference whenever exploring prophecy as relating to today.
I propose to trace the line of Japheth, Ham, and Shem to the shores of America 3,000 years before Columbus. I also will show how the tribes of Israel are traced down through the ages to our modern world and that, as I believe, the Antichrist will come from the tribe of Dan. God has ordained the end times and they will surely happen. Humpty-Dumpty will surely rise again.
