Chapter 1 Character - the combination of qualities or features that distinguish one person, group, or thins from another. The stamp impressed by nature, education or habit : that which a person or things really is. Moral or ethical strength, integrity, fortitude, reputation. A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1. Chapter 2 Integrity - the quality or condition of being whole or undivided; moral soundness especially as it is revealed in dealings that test steadfastness to truth, purpose, responsibility or trust. Rigid adherence to a code of behavior. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1Samuel 16:7b. Chapter 3 Courage - the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty: mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or hardship. Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage: do not be afraid, nor be dismayed;; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 Chapter 4 Attitude a state of mind or feeling with regard to some matter. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O, Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14. Chapter 5 Habit a constant, often unconscious inclination, or tendency, to perform some act, acquired through frequent repetition. It is an established trend of the mind or character that has become nearly or completely involuntary. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. Luke 16:10. Chapter 6 Goal the end toward which effort is directed: the purpose toward which an endeavor is directed; and end or objective. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. Chapter 7 Faith a belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence: belief, trust, and loyalty to God; complete trust; something that is believed especially with strong conviction;: a confidence belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of person, idea, or thing. "Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13a-14 For who shall separate us from the love of God? Shall tribulation , or distress, or persecution, or famine or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … Yet in all this we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death or life, nor agents or principalities, nor powers, nor things present or things two come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created things, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
